Lastly, Attorney Herrera was designated a “Top Trial Lawyer in America” by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. This is one of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won a million-dollar verdict or settlement. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members. In law school, Attorney Herrera was a Merit Scholar, and received a CALI highest grade award. He represented his law school in trial advocacy competition against other law schools as a member of the highly coveted AAJ trial advocacy team. While in law school, he was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Society for his high marks.

As an undergraduate, Attorney Herrera maintained honor roll while playing Division I soccer.
